servbot custom arcade stick

I always love these custom arcade sticks, this one took my eye from the joystick vault by user b15sdm, based on the capcom character servbot.

OnLive game controller will work with the Nexus 7: A £200 mobile gaming goliath?

OnLive’s pretty amazing. When you think about how far your streamed gaming content has to travel, and how fast, the tech involved is a damn miracle. If you’ve got a good enough connection, that is.

Thing is, when it landed on Android, the scope of its powers was largely limited to games with rejigged touchscreen controls, but will a marriage between the Nexus 7 and the wireless OnLive controller be the making of both Google’s tablet and the service itself?

The OnLive controller will set you back £39.99, and brings a familiar, Xbox-alike experience to the myriad titles available on the cloud streaming service. The Nexus 7, which runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and allows access to OnLive through the dedicated Google Play app, starts at just £159.99.

Still no OnLive for iOS: What gives, Apple?

OnLive’s official statement reads: “We don’t have support out for [the Google Nexus 7 tablet] yet, but we hope to shortly.”

That’s amazing news; tie the two devices together and what have you got? Well, for a little shy of £200, you’ve got a (sort of) portable games console rammed full of top titles like Assassin’s Creed, Arkham City and the ridiculously playable Just Cause 2.

So prices are trickling threw about the new nintendo Wii U, with amazon uk pricing it at £310, but what of the controller?

With early reports of the Swedish game offering the controller at 1,499 Krona (£135).
But would you pay that price for the tablet controller?

Nintendo has yet to date let alone price Wii U, although the firm's US president Reggie Fils-Aime has said he expects consumers to be "pleasantly surprised" by Wii U's launch price.
